Research tells us that effective professional development plays a crucial role in improving classroom practice and pupil outcomes, particularly for the most disadvantaged. Our Trust-wide Collaborative Professional Learning (CPL) is always underpinned by the most relevant research and is designed around the proven characteristics that lead to more effective professional development. We also know that effective implementation is a key factor in ensuring that our CPL manifests itself in the day-to-day work of people in schools and has the biggest possible impact on children's outcomes. 

Following our conferences, a short summary video is shared with attendees to allow them to return to key learning from the day and to aid implementation back at school. They are also perfect for helping other leaders in school to gain a deeper understanding of the key learning, and as a means for structuring CPL back at school. The videos are designed in a way that they can be used over a series of staff meetings to aid implementation.
