Support for Staff during COVID-19
DSAT is a strategic and forward thinking Trust and we recognise that our staff are a precious resource. We aim to appoint and develop professionals who are welcoming, compassionate, highly motivated and who can promote high expectations and aspirations throughout the Academy Trust. Being committed to excellence, our staff will work in collaboration to build strong partnerships with a range of stakeholders, working across the Trust for the growth of thriving Christian learning communities, allowing us to achieve our vision of going
‘Beyond expectations for all of God’s children.’
As part of our investment in our staff, we are developing a range of staff benefits. Please see below and follow the links as appropriate.

Financial and Pensions Advice and Support
Wesleyan Financial Services have provided advice and support to a number of our staff. They are not the only provider available and we are not able to endorse them officially but we are happy to work with them and to identify this means of support for our staff.
The Wesleyan are specialists when it comes to providing financial advice to Teachers and have strong links with the NASUWT. They’re able to advise on all aspects of financial planning.
As well as specialising in financial planning for Teachers, the Wesleyan are a mutual organisation which is an integral part of who they are, with no shareholders their focus is on their members and customers.
You can find useful information on the Teacher’s Pension Scheme, as well as general financial planning, by clicking on the link here
To speak to a local advisor, please fill in your details on the link here and Matt will contact you to arrange a no cost, no obligation review at a time that suits you.
DSAT subscribes to a Childcare Voucher scheme.
Childcare vouchers provide an easy way for working parents to save on the cost of childcare. Suitable for children up to age 15, childcare vouchers can be used for a wide range of care, from nurseries and childminders through to holiday camps and breakfast clubs.
Simply by signing up for childcare vouchers, parents can enjoy automatic savings in tax and National Insurance. The savings are often worth hundreds of pounds a year and both parents can take part to benefit even more. Most parents choose electronic vouchers, which can be transferred straight into a carer's bank account for quick and convenient payment.
See www.kiddivouchers.com for more information.
Childcare Vouchers closing to new entrants from 4th October 2018
In 2017 the Government introduced a new Tax-Free Childcare scheme, with a view to closing existing Childcare Voucher schemes to new entrants. The deadline to join Childcare Vouchers is 4th October 2018. You must join and receive vouchers before the deadline if you want to be able to use Childcare Vouchers now or in future. If you are not yet a member of our Childcare Voucher scheme, you must order your first vouchers in time to receive them in your September pay. We strongly recommend that you register immediately to avoid missing the payroll deadline.
To join the scheme go to www.kiddivouchers.com and join our scheme by using our scheme reference number. You must do this before your September payroll cut off.
Existing scheme members can continue to enjoy the benefits of the Childcare Voucher scheme for as long as you remain in your current employment, provided you don’t take a break of more than 52 weeks from receiving vouchers.
The KiddiVouchers team has found that 60% of parents will save more with Childcare Vouchers than with the replacement Tax-Free Childcare scheme. If you would like to know whether Childcare Vouchers or Tax-Free Childcare provide the most savings for you, simply visit the KiddiVouchers website and use the savings calculator.
