Governance
Welcome to our Governance section.
You can find full details of our Trustees by clicking here.
The Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust is governed by a Trust Board. This Board is responsible for the oversight of the Academy Trust. It delegates certain responsibilities to our Academy Standards and Ethos Committees (ASECs) which exist in each academy - these are typically made up of parents, community and church members, as well as staff.
The role of these ASECs is somewhat different to that of a traditional governing body, given the setup of the Trust and the central roles that exist. The Chair of each ASEC will support the development of individual ASEC members and the clerk and in turn, will work with the clerk to carry out a 360 degree review of their own performance. Each ASEC will carry out an annual assessment of its performance in line with the Twenty one questions found here.
Please find in the Scheme of Delegation details of how the Trust Board is structured, including the names, categories, responsibilities and terms of appointment for each Director. The information provided includes a Register of Interests. Details of Academy Standards and Ethos Committees can be found on individual academy websites and the 'Get Information About Schools' website.
Please note that the registers of interest for ASECs are held by each academy.
The Board of Directors for the Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust has four scheduled meetings through the academic year.
The Board has also appointed committees which meet three times per academic year: the Audit and Risk Committee, the Resources Committee, and the Standards and Ethos Committee.
Minutes are held by the Business Support Administrator in the DSAT Services office.
